🪟 Total Window Makeover Workshop

Five Days. Five Pillars. One Complete Transformation.

WindowLympics training for: Best Window Restoration + Finish Division Showcase

The Total Window Makeover Workshop is a hands-on, five-day training experience that walks you through the complete process of restoring a historic window using the Five Pillars of Window Craft. From disassembly to final tuning, you’ll learn how to approach window restoration with precision, purpose, and the mindset of a true artisan.

Each day builds upon the last, blending carpentry, joinery, glazing, and finishing into a repeatable system you can use in the field or your own business.

🗓️ What You’ll Learn:

Day 1: Mechanics to Primed Frame (M2P)

Break the window down to its parts. Restore functionality, repair joinery, replace ropes and weights, and prime the frame and sash for what’s next.

Day 2: Stripped to Glazed Sash (S2G)

Glazing made easy with newly fabricated sash—no stripping required. Repurpose antique / cut and install new glass, and learn traditional glazing techniques using oil-based compound.

Day 3: Mechanics to Primed Frame Continued (M2P)

Prep and paint the frame for durability and weather resistance using artisan-approved methods—no shortcuts, no tape.

Day 4: Primed to Finished Frame (P2F) and Sash Finishing (G2F)

Apply a flawless interior and exterior finish to your frame by hand. Prep sash for final finish.

Day 5: Sash Finishing (G2F) and Assembled & Tuned Frame (A&T)

Reunite the sash and frame, install hardware, tune the assembly, and deliver a fully restored, functioning window.
